Ms. Alexanders is currently a Director of The Margot Fonteyn Academy of Ballet in Beacon, New York.
Her Career spans more than three decades. She danced with the Stuttgart Ballett in Germany and was a Principal dancer of the Tanz-Forum Ballet of Cologne Opera House. Ms. Alexanders has performed principal roles in both classical as well as contemporary ballets and has worked with many of the world's greatest choreographers including: John Cranko, George Balanchine, Hans van Manen, Glen Tetley, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Christopher Bruce, John Butler, Helmut Bauman, Jurg Burth, Gray Veredon, Jochen Ulrich, John Butler, Christopher Bruce and Kurt Joos amongst others.
She danced on world tours with the Stuttgart Ballet and The Tanz-Forum Ballet of Cologne in major Opera Houses including: Rom, Paris, London, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm, New York, Athens, Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro, Casablanca and Kairo amongst others.
Ms. Alexanders trained in: Bournonville techniche at the National Theater of Iceland, her home country, Training and Teachers Certificates in R.A.D.(Royal Academy of Dancing) at the Royal Ballet School in London. She received her Vaganova Teaching Certificate at the School of the Hartford Ballet and Benesh Dance Notation Certificate at the Royal Ballet School, London.
Ms. Alexanders has been a Ballet Master at The Mannheim Ballet, the Opera House Cologne and Nevada Ballet Theatre, Guest Instructor for the Colorado Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Theater of the West Berlin, visiting professor at the University of South Florida, faculty at University of Munich, School of the Hartford Ballet and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School.
She has been The Principal of The Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre.
In addition she has also taught Modern technique (Martha Graham) at the Munich University and the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. She has been on the jury of international competitions in Luxemburg.
Ms. Alexanders has choreographed ballets, which include Carmen with the Principal dancers of the Joffrey Ballet in the title roles. She has also choreographed for operas, plays, television shows and musicals, as well as staging ballets and she has been a stage manager at the Opera House in Cologne and a film producer for the Piccolo Productions. Ms. Alexanders has also had experience as an actress, playing leading roles in plays by Tennessee Williams (Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone), Jean Cocteau (Orpheus) and Marguerite Duras (India Song).
